The Vanda Boonyarit Diamond is a spectacular Thai hybrid prized for its 8-10cm pink and sweet honey fragrance. This large orchid (50-70cm) thrives in hot, humid conditions (24-32°C, 70-85% humidity) and requires daily watering during the growing season. Best grown bare-root in hanging baskets, it needs very bright light (4,000-6,000 lux) to produce its characteristic heavy spotting. Named for renowned Thai breeder Boonyarit, this rare hybrid offers exceptional floral displays from spring through summer when given proper air circulation and consistent moisture. While demanding more attention than beginner orchids, its dramatic appearance makes it a centrepiece specimen for serious collectors.
