The Vanda Gordon × Vanda Dr. Anek is a striking Thai-bred hybrid producing 8-12cm tessellated flowers in pink and purple patterns. This large orchid (50-80cm) thrives in warm 24-32°C temperatures with high humidity (70-85%), requiring daily watering of its extensive aerial root system. Grow bare-root in slatted baskets or mounted, providing intense light (4,000-6,000 lux) for optimal flowering 2-3 times yearly. While uncommon outside specialised collections, its vigorous growth and spectacular floral displays make it a rewarding challenge for intermediate growers. Regular fertilisation and excellent air movement are essential for maintaining its health and vibrant colouration.
