The Encyclia Jungle Fox is a bold hybrid producing 4-5cm orange-brown flowers with a striking bright purple lip and sweet honey fragrance. The intermediate skill level simply reflects its one key requirement: bright light (4,000-6,000 lux) to bloom well – otherwise, it's quite forgiving. Thriving in 24-30°C summer temperatures with a winter cooldown, this medium-sized orchid (30-45cm) rewards growers with reliable spring blooms. Unlike moisture-loving orchids, it prefers to dry out completely between waterings, making it harder to overwater. Grow in chunky bark mix in the brightest window you have, and you'll be rewarded with its cheerful flowers and daytime honey scent.
