Orchid not in bloom.
1.7"pot
The Encyclia Taiwan Tampensis is a hybrid registered in 2013 (Encyclia Alda × Encyclia tampensis), combining the robust nature of the Florida-native "Butterfly Orchid" with the qualities of its hybrid parent . It produces up to 45 green/yellow-brown flowers per spike with a distinctive white lip featuring a purple spot, each bloom measuring 4cm across . The flowers emit a sweet, honey-like fragrance that peaks in the afternoon . This is a beginner-friendly orchid that tolerates some neglect, requiring only bright indirect light and complete drying between waterings. Grow in coarse bark with excellent drainage or mounted on cork to mimic its epiphytic nature . Its robust, drought-tolerant character makes it ideal for growers new to orchids, while its fragrance and multi-flowering habit appeal to collectors
