The Cattleya luteola × sib is a delightful miniature species hybrid producing 4-6cm soft yellow flowers with intricately marked purple lips and a sweet honey fragrance. Native to the Amazon Basin, this compact orchid (8-15cm) thrives in intermediate conditions (22-28°C) and bright light (3,000-4,000 lux), flowering reliably in late summer. Unlike many Cattleyas, it adapts well to small pots or mounting, making it perfect for terrariums or windowsills. Its rare status among species hybrids reflects limited commercial propagation, yet its easy-going nature and prolific blooming habit make it ideal for beginners and collectors alike. Water only when completely dry, and provide excellent air movement to mimic its natural epiphytic habitat.
