The Dendrobium griffithianum 'Yellow Yuan' is an exceptionally rare colour form of this Himalayan species, producing 4-5cm crystalline yellow flowers with sweet honeysuckle fragrance. This advanced-level dendrobium demands strict seasonal care: summer growth at 22-28°C with ample water, followed by a complete winter rest (Nov-Jan) at 8-12°C nights with minimal moisture. The yellow variant represents less than 1% of wild populations, making this clone a true trophy specimen. Grow in small bark mix or mounted, providing bright light (4,000-6,000 lux) during active growth. While challenging, its elegant pendulous canes and rare colouration reward experienced collectors with unforgettable late-winter blooms.
