The Dendrobium Alisun Summer is a sunshine-coloured Australian hybrid producing 4-5cm golden-yellow flowers with striking orange lips in peak summer. Thriving in warm 25-32°C temperatures and bright conditions (4,000-6,000 lux), this medium-sized orchid (30-50cm) differs from most Dendrobiums by blooming during the hottest months. Grow in chunky bark mix, watering daily during active growth and reducing slightly in winter. Its light honey fragrance and unusual summer flowering period make it valuable for extending seasonal displays. While uncommon outside Australia, its vigorous growth and heat tolerance appeal to intermediate growers seeking colourful warm-weather performers.
