The Phalaenopsis Chi Yueh Little Red Riding Hood is a charming Taiwanese hybrid featuring 5-6cm red petals – just like the fairy tale character's red cloak. Despite its storybook name, this compact orchid (15-25cm) is perfectly beginner-friendly, requiring the same easy care as standard moth orchids. Thriving in 18-28°C temperatures and medium light (1,500-2,500 lux), it blooms reliably in winter with flowers lasting 6-8 weeks. Grow in sphagnum or bark mix, watering when roots turn silvery. Its uncommon colour combination makes it a delightful conversation piece for any collection.
