This perfect beginner orchid thrives in standard home conditions (18-28°C, 50-70% humidity) and tolerates the occasional watering lapse. Grow in sphagnum or bark mix under medium light (1,500-2,500 lux) – an east-facing windowsill is ideal. Its winter blooms last 8-10 weeks and carry a light sweet scent in the morning. While widely available, its reliable nature and sunny disposition make it a favourite for first-time growers and seasoned collectors alike. After flowering, cut the spike above a node for potential repeat blooms.
