The Phalaenopsis Fuller's Sunset '109' is a stunning hybrid producing yellow petals with a contrasting pink lip on compact 35–40cm flower spikes . A cross of Phalaenopsis Taisuko Date and Phalaenopsis Chian Xen Queen , this beginner-friendly orchid is prized for its extremely long-lasting flowers—spikes often remain in bloom for 3–5 months . It thrives in 18–28°C temperatures and prefers cooler conditions (25°C and below) for growth and flower initiation, making it ideal for air-conditioned rooms and offices . Provide bright, indirect light (4–6 hours daily, 70% indirect sunlight ideal) and water when the medium surface feels dry . This hybrid can bloom approximately every 6 months and has been the subject of research into double-stem production, with 18°C day/night temperatures maximising this trait . The '109' designation indicates a specific numbered clone selection. Avoid sudden temperature changes and draughts, as this orchid reacts negatively to both .
Adjust care practices as needed based on its individual response and the specific conditions in your growing environment.
