Plant in 2.5" pot
The Phalaenopsis Equalacea 'Smurf' is a charming primary hybrid between Phalaenopsis equestris and Phalaenopsis violacea, registered in 1967 . This compact orchid typically produces 4.5cm flowers in shades ranging from grape purple to pink with 5-10 blooms per spike . It's a beginner-friendly grower, requiring standard Phalaenopsis care with intermediate to warm temperatures (18-28°C) and moderate indirect light . The plant is smaller and more compact than many Phals, making it ideal for small spaces . While it inherits the potential for fragrance from its violacea parent, not all clones are fragrant . Its sequential blooming habit means it can flower for months on end . This hybrid can be grown in medium fir bark with consistent moisture , watered when the medium is nearly dry.
Adjust care practices as needed based on its individual response and the specific conditions in your growing environment.
