The Masdevallia weberbaueri × impostor is an extremely rare high-altitude hybrid from the Peruvian Andes, requiring precisely controlled cool conditions (16-22°C maximum) and constant high humidity (80-90%). This small orchid (8-15cm) produces striking 2-3cm triangular flowers in orange with intricate purple veining during spring and summer. Grow exclusively in live sphagnum moss within sealed terrariums or specialised orchid cabinets, maintaining excellent air movement to prevent fungal issues. As a trophy-status specimen for advanced collectors, it demands year-round attention to temperature stability and moisture levels. Water with pure rainwater or distilled water only, as it's highly sensitive to mineral salts.
