he Paph. fairrieanum × sib is a exquisite sibling-cross of a rare Himalayan lady's slipper orchid, inheriting its parent's need for cool 18-24°C (64-75°F) summer days and cold 5-10°C (41-50°F) winter nights to trigger its autumn blooms. This compact 15-25cm plant thrives in constant humidity (60-80%) - ideal for terrariums or humidity trays. Grow in a moist sphagnum-based mix, watering with rainwater when the surface just begins to dry. Provide low light (1,000-1,500 lux) - north-facing windows are perfect. The 6-8cm flowers feature the species' characteristic green-white striped dorsal sepal and smooth pouch, emitting a subtle herbal fragrance in morning light. While slow-growing (producing just 1-2 new growths annually), its tolerance for cold makes it unique among tropical orchids.
