Pot 3.0"
The Paphiopedilum (Philippines × glanduliferum) is a spectacular inter-island hybrid combining the long, ribbon-like petals of P. philippinense with the bold spotting of Bornean P. glanduliferum. Thriving in warm, humid conditions (24-28°C days, 70-85% humidity), this medium-large orchid demands calcium-enriched water and an airy terrestrial mix with limestone chips. Its 10-12cm flowers emerge in late winter, showcasing creamy yellow blooms with burgundy spotting and dramatically twisted petals that may exceed 30cm in exceptional clones. While extremely rare in cultivation due to complex breeding requirements, sibling crosses offer fascinating variations in petal length and spotting patterns for dedicated collectors.
