The Phalaenopsis gigantea var. alba × sib is a rare white sibling cross of the famous "Giant Phalaenopsis." Unlike the standard green form, the alba variety is slightly easier to manage, growing faster and demanding consistently warm temperatures (29-32°C) and very high humidity (70-85%) . It requires less light than standard Phalaenopsis, making it suitable for shaded warm terrariums or heated grow tents. Growers must use pure water and foliar feeding to avoid damaging its salt-sensitive roots. While it takes years to reach maturity, its massive, pendulous leaves and sweetly fragrant, long-lasting white blooms make it a highly collectable "Trophy" plant for the dedicated species enthusiast.
