The Phalaenopsis violacea var. coerulea × sib is a sibling cross of Sumatra's legendary blue orchid, producing 5-6cm iridescent lavender-blue flowers with a sweet citrus fragrance. Thriving in steamy 24-30°C conditions with high humidity (70-85%), this compact orchid (15-25cm) blooms nearly continuously when grown in sphagnum moss with filtered rainwater. The blue colouration - caused by light-refracting cell structures - intensifies under low-medium light (1,000-1,800 lux) as flowers mature. While wild blue forms are critically endangered, sibling crosses offer sustainable alternatives for collectors. Provide excellent air circulation to prevent fungal issues in its dense foliage.

These care guidelines are based on general information and may need adjustments based on your specific growing conditions and the needs of your individual plant.
