The Phalaenopsis schilleriana 'MSH' is a stunning Philippine species prized for its profuse rose-pink flowers (up to 100 per spike) and beautifully mottled silver-green leaves. This intermediate-level orchid simply requires stable warmth (22-30°C) and good humidity (60-80%) – nothing overly complicated. Native to warm lowland forests, it dislikes cold winters, so keep nights above 18°C. Give it bright indirect light (2,000-3,500 lux) to encourage those spectacular winter-to-spring blooms. The branching spikes can reach an impressive 90cm, so plan for staking or hanging. While rare in general cultivation, the 'MSH' clone is particularly sought after for its superior colour and form – a true collector's species that rewards with breathtaking displays.
