The Rlc. Rainbow Orient 'Leo' is a Taiwanese-bred hybrid from the Miki Orchid Nursery, prized for producing very large, fragrant flowers up to 13cm on a compact plant (mature size 20-30cm) . This Cattleya alliance hybrid is intermediate in difficulty — it requires bright light year-round and careful seasonal watering, but rewards with spectacular blooms in a relatively short time (youth plants may flower in 5-12 months). During summer, water abundantly and keep temperatures between 23-28°C; in winter, reduce watering and maintain cooler conditions at 16-20°C . Grow in a bark mix or combined bark and sphagnum substrate for best results . The plant's relatively compact size combined with its large, fragrant flowers makes it an excellent choice for growers with limited space who still want show-stopping blooms.
