Thriving in 26–32°C (79–90°F) daytime temperatures with 18–22°C (64–72°F) nights, this plant demands 60–80% humidity—achievable with humidity trays or terrariums. Water with rainwater when the chunky orchid bark is nearly dry, and provide bright, filtered light (2,500–3,500 lux) to avoid leaf burn. While mature plants bloom in late winter with 7–10cm pink flowers, they need cooler 15–18°C (59–64°F) winter nights to initiate spikes.
