The Ryc. Taiwan Firecracker 'Popcorn' is a spectacular compact hybrid that produces explosive sprays of bright orange-red flowers resembling firework bursts. Thriving in consistent 20-32°C (68-90°F) temperatures year-round, this orchid is ideal for warm indoor spaces. Unlike many orchids, it prefers daily misting plus soaking 2-3 times weekly due to its vandaceous heritage. Grow in bright indirect light (3,000-4,000 lux) - the leaves should be medium green, not yellow (too much light) or dark (too little). While typically grown mounted on cork or in coarse lava rock, it can adapt to baskets with minimal medium. The winter blooms last 4-6 weeks, emitting a delicate sweet fragrance, especially when given 60-80% humidity and excellent air circulation. Its compact size (15-25cm) makes it perfect for small spaces.
These care guidelines are based on general information and may need adjustments based on your specific growing conditions and the needs of your individual plant.
