The Cystorchis sp. Papua is an exceptionally rare terrestrial jewel orchid from the highland forests of Papua New Guinea, documented at elevations of approximately 1,400m in the Eastern Highlands, Morobe, and West Sepik Provinces . This trophy-status collector's orchid requires high humidity (75-90%) and cool nights (14-18°C) to thrive — conditions best provided in a dedicated terrarium or orchid cabinet. Unlike epiphytic orchids, it is terrestrial, growing in leaf litter and humus on the forest floor. Plant in a fine, moisture-retentive mix of sphagnum, perlite, and leaf litter, and provide very low light (800-1,500 lux). Its tiny flowers appear on slender spikes, but the plant is primarily grown for its foliage and extreme rarity. Virtually unknown in cultivation, any available specimen should be treated as a high-value collector's treasure.
Always monitor your Phalaenopsis Perfection Is 'Chen' closely and adjust care practices as needed based on its individual response and the specific conditions in your growing environment.
