Plants in 6 cm pots
he Dendrobium Formosum is a spectacular Himalayan species producing 7-10cm pure white flowers with a sweet hyacinth fragrance. It's not difficult if you understand its natural rhythm: it needs consistent summer moisture followed by a cool, dry winter rest (10-15°C nights, reduced water) to trigger its stunning late winter blooms. Grow in coarse bark with bright filtered light (3,000-4,500 lux), and plan for space — mature canes can reach 60cm. While uncommon outside specialist collections, its elegant, long-lasting flowers (4-6 weeks) make it a rewarding choice for growers ready to provide seasonal care.
