The Platyclinis Mt Lewis × hillii 'Trident' is a distinctive Australian hybrid, producing 2-3cm cream flowers with burgundy spotting in perfect triangular clusters. Thriving in stable 22-28°C temperatures and high humidity (70-85%), this small fan orchid (15-25cm) demands mounted culture or shallow pots with sphagnum moss. Its namesake "Trident" bloom arrangement and musky evening fragrance make it a conversation piece, while limited export regulations contribute to its rarity in cultivation. Provide consistent moisture with rainwater and dappled light (1,000-1,500 lux) to mimic its Queensland rainforest habitat. While challenging for beginners, its unusual floral display rewards experienced growers willing to meet its precise needs.

These care guidelines are based on general information and may need adjustments based on your specific growing conditions and the needs of your individual plant.
