Orchid not in bloom.

Pot 2.5"

The Bulbophyllum lasiochilum × sib is a fascinating sibling cross prized for its unique 4-6cm flowers featuring a distinctive purple-haired lip that mimics insect prey for fly pollination. This intermediate-level orchid thrives in stable 22-28°C summer temperatures with high humidity (70-85%), making it ideal for terrarium cultivation. Grow mounted on tree fern with sphagnum moss, maintaining constant moisture without waterlogging. The autumn blooms emit a subtle musk fragrance as part of their pollination strategy, with individual flowers lasting up to two weeks. While rare in general cultivation, its unusual floral structure and compact 20-30cm size make it a coveted specimen for Bulbophyllum enthusiasts. Provide gentle filtered light (1,000-1,800 lux) to mimic its natural forest habitat.
