Orchid not in bloom.

The Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi red is an uncommon colour morph of the fascinating "stag-horn" orchid, producing 2-3cm reddish-brown flowers that bloom sequentially for years on the same spike. Native to Southeast Asian forests, this intermediate species thrives when mounted on cork or tree fern and given high humidity (70-85%) with daily misting. Unlike most Phalaenopsis, its unique flat, antler-like flowers emerge continuously when provided bright filtered light (2,500-3,500 lux) and stable 22-30°C temperatures. The red form's rarity stems from its lack of green pigmentation, making it a prized specimen for collectors. For best results, never remove old spikes and maintain consistent moisture without waterlogging.
