Bare roots
The Rntda. Jairak Orange is a vibrant Thai-bred vandaceous hybrid, producing 5-7cm bright orange flowers with attractive burgundy spotting. This large orchid (40-60cm leaves) thrives in consistently warm conditions (24-32°C) with high humidity (70-85%), performing best when grown bare-root mounted or in slatted baskets. Water with daily misting and frequent soaking, allowing roots to dry slightly between waterings. Provide bright, filtered light (4,000-6,000 lux) – the leaves should be firm and medium green. While rare outside Thailand, its fiery colour and graceful monopodial habit make it a prized specimen for experienced growers with space for its impressive size.
