The Anoectochilus roxburghii 'Variegata' is an exceptionally rare jewel orchid prized for its velvety brown leaves with intricate redish veining and creamy variegation. This advanced-level plant demands precise terrarium conditions with constant 80-90% humidity and stable 18-24°C temperatures. Grow exclusively in living sphagnum moss with distilled water, providing minimal light (300-600 lux) to maintain both variegation and leaf texture. While its small white autumn flowers are secondary to the foliage, this trophy-status orchid represents the pinnacle of jewel orchid collecting. Successful cultivation requires sterile techniques and avoidance of all mineral salts in water and fertiliser.
Please note that these care instructions are based on general guidelines for Macradenia multiflora and may need adjustments based on your specific growing conditions and observations of your plant's health and behavior.
