The Rhynchostylis gigantea × sib is a magnificent sibling cross of the iconic "fox tail" orchid, producing 25-40cm cascading flower spikes packed with fragrant blooms in variable colors (white, pink, or red with spotting). This tropical giant thrives in warm 24-32°C (75-90°F) conditions year-round with high humidity (70-85%), performing best when grown bare-root mounted on cedar plaques or in slatted baskets. Water daily during active growth (reducing frequency in winter), allowing the thick aerial roots to dry slightly between soakings. Provide bright filtered light (3,500-5,000 lux) - the sturdy leaves should feel firm and maintain light green coloration. Its intoxicating citrus-jasmine fragrance peaks at night during winter blooms, with flowers lasting 3-5 weeks when given proper air circulation and stable temperatures. While demanding space (40-60cm leaf span), its spectacular floral displays make it a centerpiece specimen.
