Bare root
The Thecopus maingayi is an uncommon miniature orchid species native to the lowland forests of Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Borneo . It's not overly difficult to grow, but it does require consistent moisture year-round (no winter rest) and good root airflow — which is why we call it intermediate. Give it bright indirect light with some morning sun, protect it from harsh midday rays, and keep humidity at 55-65% depending on whether it's potted or mounted . The 1.5-2cm flowers are pale yellow-brown with striking red-brown stripes and a white lip, appearing in pendulous spikes of 5-18 blooms from summer through autumn . While not fragrant, its elegant and unusual appearance makes it a collector's favourite for those seeking refined, less-common orchids .
