The Rlc. Mayor Yamasaki is a classic exhibition Cattleya hybrid prized for its 12-15cm white flowers with dramatically frilled pink lip and rich spicy fragrance. Thriving in 24-30°C summer temperatures with bright filtered light (3,500-5,000 lux), this medium-large orchid (30-45cm) blooms reliably in spring when given a slight winter cooldown (15-18°C nights). Grow in chunky bark mix, watering only when the medium is nearly dry to prevent root issues. As a rare classic hybrid with limited modern propagation, it appeals to collectors seeking traditional exhibition-quality orchids. Its flowers develop best with excellent air circulation and consistent humidity (60-75%).
