The Vanda Mimi Palmer is a classic hybrid prized for its intensely fragrant 5-6cm flowers displaying exquisite brown tessellation on a cream background. Thriving in warm 22-32°C temperatures with high humidity (70-85%), this medium-large orchid (40-60cm) requires daily watering when grown bare-root or in slatted baskets. Provide very bright light (4,000-6,000 lux) – the leaves should be firm and medium green. Its powerful vanilla-spice fragrance intensifies at dusk during spring blooms, making it one of the most aromatic Vanda hybrids. While rare in commercial production, its timeless beauty and sensational scent make it highly sought after by collectors.
