The Vanda Varintra is a spectacular Thai-bred Vanda hybrid producing 8-12cm vibrantly coloured flowers in shades of blue, purple, and lavender, often with intricate tessellation. This large-growing orchid (60-100cm stems) thrives in tropical 24-32°C temperatures with very high humidity (70-85%), requiring daily watering during summer months. Grow bare-root in wooden baskets or mounted, providing intense light (4,000-6,000 lux) and exceptional air movement to prevent fungal issues. While uncommon in standard collections, its multiple annual flowering flushes and impressive size make it a standout specimen for experienced growers with appropriate space and climate control.
